What is this H+art website? More to the point what is H+?

Where to start? That’s the real question. The website is fairly straight
forward; it hopes to serve as a well of talented individuals who are
willing to help H+ organisations, out of the knowledge that its aims
are of the utmost importance, either on a global scale for humanity
as a whole, or for purely personal reasons, for those individuals
or their families/friends.

As for H+ (encompassing many futurist strands such as transhumanism), to quote PJ Manney, an H+ writer friend of mine, "trying to explain transhumanism in its broad vision is as easy as if Dan Brown got cornered at a cocktail party and was asked to explain The Da Vinci Code in 10 minutes or less. It’s all pretty controversial and confrontational, if you leave out the good bits.” However, I’m going to try. Below are links to short pages dealing with each issue in turn, with outward links to more expansive articles on the Net at the bottom of each page.

"The transhumanist movement is an expression of humanity's capacity to envision that life can be different, that a better body, better mind and better world are possible. So transhumanism is intimately bound up with the work of artists, writers, filmmakers and creatives of all types, who are society's wellspring of imagination. I'm quite sure that the transhumanist habit of mind is also useful for artists. I write this as I watch my film-maker daughter and story-teller son rehearse for a musical, and I would like to think that having a father who, when asked whether there were elves, answered "Not yet" may have contributed something to their creativity. Then again, their Mom is a sculptor so they may have gotten it from her side. In any case, transhumanism is about creating a world together where everyone will be able to create and appreciate increasingly complex and sublime expressions of transhuman creativity. I look forward to working with you to help build that world."
